Halloween 2014!

Halloween is my favorite time of year. Yes, even more so than Christmas. Yes, I know that isn't normal. With that being said, it's taken Vienne a few years to fully warm up to the idea of Halloween. This past year - our second here on 23rd St. - was shared with friends, laughs, scares, Grammy, and lots of candy. Going into it, Danielle and I agreed to let Vienne eat as many pieces of candy as she wanted to after trick-r-treating, then we'd toss the uneaten candy the next morning. We had a "how many pieces will she eat?" pool going, and the various guesses ranged from 4 pieces to 35 pieces! I guessed 9 pieces...and she ate exactly 9 pieces! HA! With about 100 pieces of delicious candy on the floor in front of her (Skittles, Crunch, Hershey Kisses, Lollipops, etc), she exercised some restraint and cut herself off at 9 pieces. We were very proud of her grown up decision! Also, last October, we took our traditional journey to the pumpkin patch. Later that night, Danielle and I met some friends for Halloween drinks. Danielle was dressed as a dead witch and I went as "Rob" zombie. As you may be able to tell from the pictures, our theme in 2014 was spiders! Can't wait for Halloween 2015, because this year we'll have a killer clown theme on the porch! Vienne will love it (NOT!).
