Cookie Monster
Surprisingly, Vienne's infant cookies are quite tasty. Not surprisingly, Vienne - the little sweetums that she is - wanted to share them with her poppa. Unfortunately, I don't think Vienne got one bite of her cookie!!
Vienne also likes the outdoors!

As you can see by this video (and the forthcoming camping video), Vienne is developing an early appreciation of the outdoors. She loves to be in the sun (don't worry, we've got super duper strong baby sunscreen) and in the park, crawling around in the grass.

Vienne likes....
-Vienne likes her new swimming pool (although we haven't yet had many sunny days to use it!)
-Vienne likes to be chauffeured around in a red wagon
-Vienne likes her new sippy cup that she can hold all by herself
-Vienne doesn't like fireworks much
-Vienne likes to eat her food and get startled

Father's Day 2011
(click photos to see larger versions)
My very first father's day with Vienne (sorry folks but last year doesn't really count in my book) was exciting, yet chill at the same time. We had breakfast with Grandad Jimmy and Grandma Sue as well as Auntie Awa. I do believe Grandad was beside himself having both his kids plus his granddaughter in 'da house! The rest of the day was spent relaxing at home with my two lovely ladies. It was a great day!
What a couple of hams eh?
I love how we are all looking in different directions
WTF?!?!?!?!

Look into my eyes....
The other day Vienne was very sleepy. Very, very, very sleepy.
At :14 seconds into the video, don't miss her nodding "yes" in response to Danielle's question. How weird is that right?
And, yes, that is Vienne snoring at the end. She certainly takes after her old man!

Vienne's first seagull and lemon (not to mention the ocean!)
(Click on photos to see larger version)
I'm lucky enough to have personal time granted to me through my work, so in the second week of June, I took the day off and Danielle, Vienne and I drove to Cannon Beach for the day.
It was a little windy, but after we arrived, the sun came out to greet us and the temp rose to a warm, but not too hot, 70 degrees!
It was Vienne's first experience with sand, seagulls, the ocean, seashells and lemons.

I love my balloon
On a lazy Saturday afternoon in mid-June, Vienne had a brief, but intense fascination with a blue balloon. But all good things must come to an end as Vienne learned the hard way.

Auntie Awa's 40th birthday party
In early June, Danielle and I (along with Grammy and Granddad) threw Vienne's Auntie Awa an 80s-tastic 40th birthday party at a skate rink in Gresham.
We had a totally tubular time and mostly everyone came dressed in the their best 1980s attire. Even Vienne got into the act with her best "Madonna fan" costume!

(I'm supposed to be Marty McFly from Back to the Future, emulating him from the theatrical poster)
